I was so thrilled to be given the opportunity to shoot sweet and gorgeous Jenny this week! Her and her husband are awaiting their 3rd baby (a boy!!!!)

Jenny is simply radiating!

What I love about Jenny is she doesn't take photos typically and yet she's a natural!
She's so relaxed and lovely that taking her picture is just a breeze!

And their little boy running around was not there to be photographed but rather just hang...but for goodness sake, when a toe headed little boy in a flannel shirt runs by you screaming that he's Peter Pan out to fight Captain Hook you follow him with the camera! It just has to be done.

he's just gorgeous.


I cannot wait to grab shots of their eldest Ella and her new little brother Miles...
talk about good genes! good grief.

I'm gonna have to say yes.

But I mean, what a glorious station it must be to live in-just way too stinkin cute.
I mean, look at these feet?! I don't even like feet. Ask anyone in my family.

But these?? I want to chew them to bits those toes are so edible.

Valentine's Day Special!

Mike Larson-pretty dang cool!

So last night at my PUG meeting (essentially photography group where we all get together and listen to guest speakers, have our work critiqued and discuss various topics in the world of professional photography etc etc...very cool group) we had Mike Larson come and speak.



Super nice, super cool, super humble, super laid back guy....who takes INSANE photos!

He's essentially built a photogeraphy empire down in SoCal based on.......being super nice, super cool, super humble, super laid back and taking INSANE photos. A recipe for greatness...go figure.

essentially spinning an incredibly expensive camera in the air incredibly high on automatic 2 second timer and praying to God it doesn't bust (he said he's never dropped it)

whoa. And I thought setting my camera down in the middle of the street for some shots was uber risky.

Not only is he a great business man and photographer but he's got a great little life system goin' on. He totally reminded me of my husband (into financial books, life coaches, mentors, work flows, surfing....umm hello nathan?)

He does seminars and workshops that are very affordable and I would highly recommend! Check him out!!

Happy New Year!

For some reason this New Year celebration has been particularly sentimental for me.

Maybe it's because I have my family complete for the first time. Maybe because I have loved ones struggling with illness. Maybe it's because I'm missing people lost long ago.

Maybe it's because I'm getting older and more aware of how lucky I am to be alive and breathing and able to love and nurture my two girls and husband.

Whatever it is, it's a good place to be in to live a life where you take nothing for granted.

May 2010 lead you to more happiness and joy then you could ever imagine.

Every moment is a gift . Every day a blessing. Every year a miracle.
